Short Dogs Grow is an American alternative rock group, based in San Francisco. Tom Pitts and Carmela Thompson started the band in the mid-80s and released two LPs, Self Entitled and Matt Dillon, on Rough Trade Records. The band reunited in 2024 with legendary drummer Chewy Marzolo and released the EP Quit While You’re Young in 2025. Legendary guitar Joe Dean completed the lineup in 2026.
